Disposal Of Purge Water
C}nly very low levels of either metaMe or organic tanuminants have been detected in some
of
the wells downgrs4ent of WMU A. Because these levels are very-low, thenis not sufficient
-reason to conWncrize the purge water. Should theanalytical results indicate a need to
cAntain¢rize,Clic fallowing procedurewill be
Sample purge water gencraatcd during well purging, and excess water generated dozing
s4mpling, will be placed in a trailer mounted tank attached to- the sampling vehicle.
• When the tank is f+ull,Ac groundwater will be pmxqxd from the tank to an onsite leachate
evaporation pond. After the groundwaw sampling round is complettd the tank will be
filled with approximately 100 gallons of water from the water truck fill station_•This
water will then be recirculated in the tank and pump to erase the system.. The rinse water
will Bien be discharged to the leachate-evaporation pond..
Domestic Well -
The domestic well sampled (DAT 9690) contains.a-submersible pump with:an in--line presswe
tank and switch to activate the pump once'thc_ below a certain valuer.
