They
tried to cover the pipe in the northwesternmost trench with coarse gravel, in the afternoon, but the heat of the day had
expanded the pipe so that it was snaking in and out of the trench. They left it for tomorrow morning.
Guinn received shipments of coarse gravel throughout the day. A total of approximately 115 cubic yards was delivered
to the site and stockpiled near the center of the cell. Deliveries came in belly -dumps and were pushed into a stockpile
with the Front-end Loader, taking care not intermix soil with the gravel.
The CAT smooth -drum compactor rolled the northern slopes and floors continuously throughout the day, and the water
truck kept dust down by moisture conditioning the soil throughout the day.
Vector collected 4 Drainage Gravel samples and 1 Coarse Gravel Sample for acceptance testing and transported them
to the lab.
Comanco mobilized at 8:00 a.m. and filled sandbags throughout the day. They also staged rolls of liner around the
geogrid area.
Comanco commenced geomembrane deployment at 14:00 and covered the entire geogrid area, deploying
approximately 32,000 square feet of geomembrane.
Prepared By: Steven Rosbach Title: Senior Engineering Technician Date: 08/13/09
Reviewed By: 184 / Title:
0
4/23/03, Rev. 0 1 of 1
C-2
Date:
