Final Construction Quality Assurance Report— WMU FU -13 <br />Forward Landfill <br />• • 60 -mil thick double -side textured HDPE geomembrane; <br />Geogrid; and <br />Subgrade fill. <br />2.2 PROJECT CONSTRUCTION SUMMARY <br />Earthwork construction for the WMU FU -13 expansion started May 16, 2013 and was <br />essentially completed by August 19, 2013. Earthwork construction for the soil buttress began <br />on May 16, 2013 and was essentially complete May 30, 2013. The placement of the subgrade <br />fill soils was completed on June 4, 2013. Placement of the low permeability clay liner on the <br />floor area of FU -13 began on June 24, 2013 and was essentially completed by July 3, 2013. <br />Geosynthetics deployment of the 60 -mil double -side textured HDPE geomembrane on the cell <br />floor started on July 11, 2013, and was completed on July 19, 2013. The floor area was water <br />puddle leak tested on July 15, 2013, with no leaks found. Deployment of the 12 oz/yd2 cushion <br />geotextile began on July 16, 2013, and was completed on July 23, 2013. Placement of the LCRS <br />granular drainage material and deployment of the >7 oz/yd2 filter geotextile began July 26, <br />2013 and was completed on August 9, 2013. During placement of the granular drainage <br />materials, the 6" perforated HDPE LCRS pipes, >7 oz/yd2 filter geotextile and coarse gravel were <br />• installed in the collection ditches. Placement of the operations layer soils began on July 26, <br />2013 and was completed on August 14, 2013. The dipole leak test on the floor area on top of <br />the operations layer was performed on August 6, 2013 with no leaks found. The two leachate <br />collection tanks and piping system were installed on July 23, 2013. Geosynthetics deployment <br />on the 4:1 slope, bench, and 2:1 slope was started on July 2, 3013 with the deployment of GCL <br />and 60 -mil single -side textured HDPE liner; and was completed on July 9, 2013. Work on the <br />Top Deck area started on July 18, 2013 with the placement of geogrid, double -textured HDPE, <br />cushion geotextile, drainage material, filter geotextile, and operations soil and was completed <br />on August 14, 2013, Deployment of the Geocomposite on the slope areas started on July 13, <br />2013 and was completed on July 23, 2013. <br />Geo -Logic <br />ASSOCIATES <br />
