Submitted to: Scott Purdy (GLA) Project #: 2013-AO55 Report No.: 008 Report Date: Tuesday May 28, 2013 Onsite: 07:00 - 17:30 Hrs Weather: AM: 59 OF Clear PM: 81°F Clear Guinn Construction Activities: • Guinn construction started clearing and grubbing work on proposed clay borrow area located approximately 400 ft to the east of WMU FU13. • The Contractor continued buttress fill placement using material from the cut floor area. The Contractor performed continuous moisture conditioning and sheepsfoot compaction work during the buttress fill. • Personnel: (1) Superintendent, (1) Grade Checker, (7) Operators, (2) Laborers. Equipment: (1) 825 Cat Sheepsfoot compactor, (1) 140H Cat Motor -Grader, (2) Water trucks, (1) Cat Excavator, (3) D6 Cat Dozers, (5) 637 Cat Scrapers, (1) Cat Fork-lift. CQA (GLA) Activities: Field Personnel (1) • CQA personnel performed continuous monitoring and lab and field moisture -density testing of the buttress fill placement. • CQA personnel continued monitoring excavation work in the Cell floor; performed continuous visual soil classification with the intent to save any possible suitable clay material encountered. CQA personnel continued monitoring the clearing work being performed in the proposed clay borrow. Meetings and Site Discussions: • Met with Kevin Turner (Guinn Superintendent) in the morning to discuss planned activity for the work shift. The Contractor would continue buttress fill along the WMU-8 existing slope and the WMU FU13 floor excavation. The Contractor would continue exposing the liner tie-in along the north side of WMU-FU13.
