Submitted to: Scott Purdy (GLA) Project #: 2013-AO55 Report No.: 056 Report Date: Monday July 29, 2013 Onsite: 06:00 - 16:30 Hrs Weather: AM: 60°F Clear PM: 95°F Clear Guinn Construction Activities: • The Contractor continued placement of the granular drainage gravel in the north half of the Cell floor. The Contractor used a wide track LGP D6R Cat Dozer equipped with GPS to spread the granular drainage gravel in a continuous 12 -inch lift. The Drainage gravel was transferred from the quarry with fifteen (15) belly dump trucks. The Contractor continued using mobile unloading system to transfer the drainage material over the cushion geotextile. • The Contractor continued placement of the filter fabric over the granular drainage layer in the south half of the Cell floor, southwest quarter. The Contractor installed and welded the 8 -oz geotextile filter fabric panels using the hot-air seaming method with two (2) leister heat guns. The filter geotextile was deployed from east to west with a minimum of 12 -inch overlap. • The Contractor continued placement of the 12 -inch operations soil layer over the completed filter fabric layer in the southwest quarter. The Contractor used a 760 Cat and a D6 Cat dozer equipped with GPS to spread the soil material at the required thickness. Personnel: (4) Operators, (1) Supervisor, (1) Grade checker, (2) Laborers. EE uipment: (1) Water truck, (2) 637 Cat Scrapers, (1) D6N Cat Dozer, (1) D6R LGP Cat Dozer, (1) 966 Cat Loader, (1) 14H Cat Motor grader, (1) Cat Fork Lift, (1) Generator, (2) Leister Heat Guns. CQA (GLA) Activities: Field Personnel (1) CQA personnel performed continuous monitoring of all construction activities ensuring conformance with the project specifications. • CQA personnel monitored the placement of the drainage gravel materials at all times ensuring that proper procedures were used to prevent damage to the underlying synthetic liner.
