The <br />Contractor used a wide track LGP D6R Cat Dozer equipped with GPS to spread the granular drainage gravel <br />in a continuous 12 -inch lift. The Drainage gravel was transferred from the stockpile located at the NE side of <br />the Cell with a Cat 740 rock truck. <br />• The Contractor continued placement of the filter fabric over the granular drainage layer in the south half of <br />the Cell floor. The Contractor installed 8 -oz geotextile filter fabric over the completed drain gravel using the <br />hot-air seaming method to weld the panels with two (2) leister heat guns. The filter geotextile was deployed <br />from east to west with a minimum of 12 -inch overlap. <br />• The Contractor continued placement of the 12 -inch operations soil layer over the completed filter fabric layer <br />in the north quarter. The Contractor used a 760 Cat and a D6 Cat dozer equipped with GPS to transfer and <br />spread the soil material at the required thickness. <br />• The Contractor continued placement of the coarse gravel and the filter fabric wrap (burrito) in the north <br />LCRS trenches. <br />Personnel: (4) Operators, (1) Supervisor, (1) Grade checker, (3) Laborers. <br />Equipment: (1) Water truck, (2) 637 Cat Scrapers, (1) D6N Cat Dozer, (1) D6R LGP Cat Dozer, (1) 966 Cat <br />Loader, (1) 14H Cat Motor grader, (1) Cat Fork Lift, (1) Generator, (2) Leister Heat Guns. <br />CQA (GLA) Activities: Field Personnel (1) <br />CQA personnel performed continuous monitoring of all construction activities ensuring conformance with the <br />. project specifications. <br />• CQA personnel monitored the placement of the drainage gravel and coarse LCRS rock materials at all times <br />ensuring that proper procedures were used to prevent damage to the underlying synthetic liner. <br />PAGE 1 OF 2 <br />
