MEETING NOTES
Page 3
® May 15, 2013
• Work hours are 5 days a week from 6:00 am to 6:00 PM.
• Weekly meetings are scheduled for Tuesdays at 11:00 am.
• Guinn should submit progress reports to Lochlin with copies of weekly tailgate
meetings.
COORDINATION
CQA submittals should go to Scott/Monte and Sangeeta, if necessary.
Weekly CQA Reports and Progress Meeting Minutes will be submitted to the
RWQCB on a weekly basis.
Ruben will work with GLA to set up their construction trailer in the same location as
last time.
SURVEYING AND LAYOUT
• Buck will be performing survey work for both the Owner and Earthwork Contractor
and will prepare the as-builts and thickness surveys.
• Buck provided a draft grid of points. GLA and Lewis Engineering asked Buck to add
qW shots for clay thickness along the LCRS trenches so he grade could be checked.
CQA
• CQA will start on May 23, 2013.
• The geosynthetics panel layout should be modified to show the double textured HDPE
on the top deck of Austin.
• GLA noted that recent CQA testing has shown lower interface shear strength between
the AGRU textured HDPE Geomembrane and the SKAPS geotextile than has been
reported in the past. The tests have been performed at TRI. GLA will perform their
own test to verify if they are getting similar results to TRI.
• The factor of safety on the critical stability section is about 1.3, so there is not much
room to accommodate lover shear strength in the stability analyses. Sangeeta will
rerun stability based on Vector's test results on the textured HDPE Geomembrane and
geotextile, but it is possible that different geotextile material may need to be ordered.
• Ruben will look into ordering the geogrid
SAFETY
40 0 Guinn will submit weekly tailgate meeting notes to Lochlin.
