• Verify that equipment used does not damage the geogrid by handling,equipment transit <br /> leakage of hydrocarbons, or other means. <br /> • Verify that crews working on the geogrid do not smoke,wear shoes that could damage <br /> the geogrid, or engage in activities that could damage the geogrid. <br /> • Verify that the geogrid is securely anchored and alain flat, free of wrinkles. <br /> • Verify that adjacent panels are overlapped and seamed in accordance with the <br /> Specifications. <br /> • Examine the geogrid after installation to ensure that no potentially harmful foreign <br /> objects are present. <br /> The QA/QC Inspector must inform both the QA/QC Manager and the Geosynthetics Contractor if <br /> the above conditions are not met. <br /> 4.6.4 Repairs <br /> Repair procedures include: <br /> • Patching--used to repair large holes,tears, and small defective areas. <br /> • Removal--used to replace plarge defective areas where the preceding method is not <br /> appropriate. <br /> Repair procedures shall be performed per specifications. <br /> Page 48 <br />
