MONITORING AND REPORTING PROGRAM NO. R5-2014-0006 3 <br /> FORWARD INC.AND REPUBLIC SERVICES INC. <br /> FORWARD CLASS II LANDFILL <br /> SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY <br /> Corrective and AMW-13B, -18B, -19BR, -21, -22, -24R, -25, <br /> Evaluation -26R, -28, -29, -30, -31, & -32 <br /> Domestic 7898-A, 8106-A <br /> Groundwater samples shall be collected quarterly from all wells listed in the <br /> above table (i.,e background wells, detection monitoring wells, evaluation <br /> monitoring wells, corrective action monitoring wells, domestic wells) and any <br /> additional wells added as part of the approved groundwater monitoring network. <br /> The collected samples shall be analyzed for the parameters and constituents <br /> listed in Table I in accordance with the specified methods and frequencies. <br /> In addition to the approved groundwater monitoring system, Cleanup and <br /> Abatement Order R5-2008-0714 (CAO) also mandates the evaluation of the <br /> extent of groundwater impacted by the release from the Austin Road unit. <br /> Additional wells may be installed or wells may be abandoned as the evaluation <br /> program progresses under the CAO or subsequent enforcement action. Any <br /> additional wells installed as part of an evaluation into the extent of impacted <br /> groundwater, or any private wells identified as being threatened by the release <br /> from the Austin Road Unit, shall be sampled quarterly for the parameters and <br /> constituents listed in Table I until they are either abandoned with concurrence <br /> of Water Board staff or they are incorporated into a regular monitoring program <br /> as part of a revised MRP. <br /> The Discharger shall collect, preserve, and transport groundwater samples in <br /> accordance with the approved Sample Collection and Analysis Plan. <br /> Once per quarter, the Discharger shall measure the groundwater elevation in <br /> each well, determine groundwater flow direction, and estimate groundwater flow <br /> rates (vertically and horizontally) in the uppermost aquifer and in any zones of <br /> perched water and in any additional portions of the zone of saturation <br /> monitored. <br /> Samples collected for the COC monitoring specified in Table I shall be collected <br /> and analyzed in accordance with the methods listed in Table VIII every five <br /> years. Five-year CDCs shall be monitored again in 2018. The results shall be <br /> reported in the Annual Monitoring Report for the year in which the samples <br /> were collected. <br />
