wastes are sterilized by heating in an autoclave. <br /> Included in the category of infectious wastes are: <br /> laboratory waste, pathological specimens, surgical <br /> specimens/instruments, human dialysis waste, animal <br /> carcasses, or any material containing etiological agents. <br /> Chapter 20.0 - Coordination with- Other Plans <br /> a The CHWMP, in accordance with AB 2948, must be consistent <br /> with the general Plan of the County and with hazardous <br /> waste/material regulation and enforcement activities. <br /> 0 The CHWMP should, in addition, be consistent with the <br /> following: the County Area Emergency Response Plan, <br /> Incorporated Cities Sanitation District Plans, hazardous <br /> material laws/regulations, SARA Title III, Uniform Fire <br /> Code, hazardous waste and hazardous material inspection <br /> and enforcement activities, remedial actions at <br /> contaminated sites, solid waste enforcement, and <br /> pretreatment requirements. <br /> 0 In accordance with SB 477, any city within a county that <br /> has adopted a CHWMP must either adopt a city hazardous <br /> waste management plan, incorporate the CHWMP into the <br /> city's general plan, or enact ordinances requiring that <br /> land-use decisions be consistent with siting in the <br /> CHWMP. <br /> 4.2 IMPLEMENTATION PROGRAM <br /> Chapter 21.0 <br /> • Expand the County Public Works Department's existing <br /> database to include information on: <br /> - Hazardous waste management facilities (facility type, <br /> quantity of hazardous waste generated, waste management <br /> techniques, waste reduction plans, hazardous waste and <br /> hazardous material storage, information on leaking <br /> tanks, and compliance/inspection history) . <br /> - Wastewater discharges (available from sanitation dis- <br /> tricts) . <br /> - National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) <br /> discharges (available from the Regional Water Quality <br /> Control Board (RWQCB]/EPA) . <br /> - Air discharges <br /> PJ9 93905020.000 4-8 Rev. 1 11/08/88 <br />
