u
I I
11
11
0
u
"A map showing the existing topographical contours of the
property and proposed final elevations of the completed
disposal site. The plan can be used for this purpose. The
approximate depths of cuts, trenches, ponds, etc., should
be shown on this map. The final elevations should repre-
sent the ultimate grading or closure plan."
SECTION 17616(i)
"Information on the underlying soils, geology, and ground
water occurrence, based on test borings conducted on the
property. Show the locations of test borings on the plan.
Described surface and cover soils using the Unified Soils
Classification System (USCS). Test borings must extend at
least 5 feet below the depth of the proposed disposal area.
Soils, geology, and ground water data must be provided by
qualified staff or consultants."
SECTION 17616(j)
SITE DRAINAGE
"Description of all surface and subsurface drains which are
to be used to control water from areas on, or adjacent to,
the disposal site. The location and type of protective dikes,
berms and levees shall be described."
"The locations of primary drains, berms, etc., should be
shown on the plan. The design basis of drainage control
devices is to be given; this may require determining typical
runoff coefficients and runoff volumes for 100 -year flood
conditions."
SECTION 17616(k)
LEACHATE SYSTEM
"If leachate generation is anticipated, described the method
of monitoring, collection, treatment, and necessary dis-
posal."
"If leachate barriers are proposed, describe their length,
width, depths, and design characteristics. Show the loca-
tion on the plan. Describe monitoring and sampling proce-
dures. Indicate whether barriers are in place or to be in-
stalled. Estimate the volume of leachate to be handled and
the manner of removal from the control barrier system (e.g.,
periodic pumping). Indicate the manner of treatment and
point of discharge for treated leachate."
N
Section 7.2
Section 8.0
Section 9.0
Section 10.0
Rev. 0 July 19, 1989
