<br /> MONITORING SYSTEM
<br /> 4 Assume three new gas monitoring wells will be installed. Each will consist of 3 probes(Cost per Spectrum Exploration).
<br /> 5 Assume two new groundwater monitoring wells will be installed. In addition,this cost should cover repairs to all of the wells
<br /> at closure(cost per Spectrum Exploration).
<br /> 6 It is anticipated that the leachate system will be installed as each module is constructed. However,this cost will cover any
<br /> additional repairs or additional sumps,as needed.
<br /> GAS CONTROL-Assume the cost to install the system is$3.3 million. This would be installed during the active life of the
<br /> landfill. At closure,it was assumed that approximately 1/3 of the system will need to be rebuilt plus an additional 17 acres
<br /> constructed.
<br /> SITE IMPROVEMENT
<br /> 9 Drainage Structures consist of perimeter ditching and natural finished drainage contours on the landfill surface.
<br /> 10 Fencing will be placed around the entire site as it is developed. Should the landfill close at tany time,the cost for closure
<br /> includes approximately 2,500 feet. Assume aluminized steel,3 strands,8 feet high.
<br /> 11 Assume 6 survey monuments.
<br /> 12 Structures to be removed include the scalehouse,office and maintenance buildings. These account for 43,210 sf(based on
<br /> 1990 PCPC Plan)Demolition cost assumes buildings on 4"concrete slab(R S Means,2004).
<br /> 13 Dismantling of environmental control system will be included in the post-closure costs.
<br /> PROFESSIONAL SERVICES
<br /> 14 Assume engineering costs= 1%of Services(R S Means,2004).
<br /> 15 Assume conventional topographical survey+aerial surveying at 1'intervals. Cost based on maximum topographic curvey
<br /> cost per R S Means,2004.
<br /> 16 CQA costs are estimated as 5%of cover material placement.
