u SECTION 10 (11/92) SECTION 10. CONSTRUCTION DETAILS SECTION 10-1. GENERAL 10-1.01 ORDER OF WORK. --Order of work shall conform to the provisions in Section 5-1.05, "Order of Work," of the Standard Specifications. 10-1.01A ADDITIONAL WORK. --If a directive by the Engineer, whether written or verbal, seems to the Contractor to be a change of contract scope, the Contractor shall immediately call the Engineer's attention to that interpretation. Failure of the Contractor to call the attention of the Engineer to such a directive is acceptance by the Contractor of that directive as a contract change at no additional cost and at no additional contract time. The Contractor may request information in writing at his discretion. The Contractor shall request information in writing if so directed by the Engineer. The Engineer may question workers as desired. Such questions are not to be considered directives by the Engineer to the worker. 10-1.01 B USE OF SITE WORK HOURS. --Contractor's work shall be restricted to Monday through Friday during landfill working hours: 6:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Contractor's personnel may not be on site other than at these times, except as follows: a. The Contractor may perform maintenance from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on weekends. FACILITIES. --The Contractor shall provide drinking water, sanitary facilities, and hand washing facilities for all Contractor's workers. The Contractor may not use the facilities of the site. PROTECTION OF EXISTING FACILITIES. --The contractor shall flag and protect existing facilities, including, but not limited to: Soil gas monitoring wells ' Groundwater monitoring wells Landfill leachate risers ' SURFACES AT COMPLETION OF PROJECT.—The Contractor shall smooth surfaces disturbed by the Contractor's work to eliminate any ponding areas and ruts.
