u <br />SECTION 10 <br />(11/92) <br />SECTION 10. CONSTRUCTION DETAILS <br />SECTION 10-1. GENERAL <br />10-1.01 ORDER OF WORK. --Order of work shall conform to the <br />provisions in Section 5-1.05, "Order of Work," of the Standard Specifications. <br />10-1.01A ADDITIONAL WORK. --If a directive by the Engineer, whether <br />written or verbal, seems to the Contractor to be a change of contract scope, the <br />Contractor shall immediately call the Engineer's attention to that interpretation. Failure <br />of the Contractor to call the attention of the Engineer to such a directive is acceptance <br />by the Contractor of that directive as a contract change at no additional cost and at no <br />additional contract time. <br />The Contractor may request information in writing at his discretion. The <br />Contractor shall request information in writing if so directed by the Engineer. <br />The Engineer may question workers as desired. Such questions are not to be <br />considered directives by the Engineer to the worker. <br />10-1.01 B USE OF SITE WORK HOURS. --Contractor's work shall be <br />restricted to Monday through Friday during landfill working hours: 6:30 a.m. to 5:30 <br />p.m. Contractor's personnel may not be on site other than at these times, except as <br />follows: <br />a. The Contractor may perform maintenance from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on <br />weekends. <br />FACILITIES. --The Contractor shall provide drinking water, sanitary facilities, and <br />hand washing facilities for all Contractor's workers. The Contractor may not use the <br />facilities of the site. <br />PROTECTION OF EXISTING FACILITIES. --The contractor shall flag and protect <br />existing facilities, including, but not limited to: <br />Soil gas monitoring wells <br />' Groundwater monitoring wells <br />Landfill leachate risers <br />' SURFACES AT COMPLETION OF PROJECT.—The Contractor shall smooth <br />surfaces disturbed by the Contractor's work to eliminate any ponding areas and ruts. <br />Such finishing shall be by backdragging and or equivalent. <br />10-1 <br />(SPECSWASTEMCO-10-1) <br />' NCLF-10-1-EJ <br />
