SECTION 10 (11/92) 10-1.04 FORCE ACCOUNT. --Attention is directed to Sections 4-1.03, "Changes," and 9-1.03, "Force Account Payment," of the Standard Specifications and these special provisions. The contract item "force account" shall be restricted to work required for public convenience and minor engineering changes. 10-1.05 MEASUREMENT & PAYMENT. --Attention is directed to Section 9, "Measurement and Payment," of the Standard Specifications. (a) Amend Section 9-1.03A (3b), "Equipment not on the Work," of the Standard Specifications as follows: Delete paragraph 9-1.03A (3b) (5) and substitute the following: (5) The rental time to be paid for equipment shall be the time the equipment is in operation on the extra work. Rental rates paid shall be those listed in the current publication of the State of California Department of Transportation, entitled "Labor Surcharge and Equipment Rental Rates," at the time when extra work is performed. When hourly rates are listed, less than 30 minutes of operation shall be considered to be 1/2 hour of operation. When daily rates are listed, payment for 1/2 day will be made if the equipment is not used. If the equipment is used, payment will be made for the day. 10-1.05A MEASUREMENT. --Separate measurement for payment will not be made for work or materials specified in this Section. 10-1.058 PAYMENT. --Separate payment will not be made for work or materials specified in this Section. Full compensation shall be considered as included in the prices paid for the various contract items of work of this project, and no additional compensation will be allowed or paid. 10-1.06 OBSTRUCTIONS. --Attention is directed to Section 8-1.10, "Utility and Non -Highway Facilities," and 15, "Existing Highway Facilities," of the Standard Specifications and these special provisions. 1 10-5 (SPECSWASTEMCO-10-1 } NCLF-10-1-EJ C'
