n
6.1.3 Site Security and Access
The landfill perimeter is secured by a barbed wire or chain link fence. The entrance gate is
locked after hours and the site including the scale house, MRF, main building and the shop are
alarmed and monitored by a security contractor. If an alarm is activated, the security contractor
will dispatch security to the site and inform the Solid Waste Operations Manager and the Site
Manager.
The security contractor responds to a fire alarm by calling the Linden Fire Department and the
County.
Access to the site is along the paved entrance road shown on the Site Plan (Plate 2).
Security within the Recycling Center also includes monitoring by video cameras focused on
strategic locations.
6.1.4 Ancillary and Other Site Facilities
Ancillary and other site facilities include the Recycling Center, the administration offices, pump
house and water tank, and wood waste processing facility (Plate 2). An access road extends to
the fill areas. A perimeter road extends to all monitoring facilities.
6.1.5 Sanitary Facilities
Permanent restrooms, including commode and sink, are located in the Employee/Maintenance
Building and in the scale house. The restrooms in the Employee/Maintenance Building include
showers.
