Label information will include the <br /> following: <br /> • Sampler number <br /> • Sampler's identification <br /> • Project number <br /> • Date and time of collection <br /> • Type of preservative used <br /> Chain-of-Custodv Record <br /> The chain-of-custody records, initiated at the time of sampling, will <br /> contain the following information: well or boring number, date of <br /> sampling, and name of the sampler. Plate B-3 shows a typical chain- <br /> of-custody record. The record sheet will be signed by the sampler <br /> when transferring possession of the samples. Custody transfer will be <br /> recorded for each individual sample; for example, if samples are split <br /> and sent to multiple laboratories, a record sheet will accompany each <br /> sample. The number of custodians in the chain of possession will be <br /> kept to a minimum.
