L' <br />L� <br />r <br />I <br />u <br />u <br />C' <br />i <br />fl <br />n <br />0 <br />n <br />11 <br />r <br />SITE DESCRIPTION <br />The Corral Hollow Sanitary Landfill is located adjacent to Corral Hollow <br />Creek and Interstate 580, approximately 5 miles south of the City of <br />Tracy (see Figure 1). The land around the site is zoned for general <br />agriculture. The closest structure is approximately 2,300 feet north- <br />east of the landfill. The 43 acre Class III landfill receives approxi- <br />mately 1,000 cubic yards of solid waste materials per day. <br />The site is jointly owned by San Joaquin County and the City of Tracy. <br />The County of San Joaquin is responsible for the engineering and design <br />of the landfill. On-site operations are conducted by the City of Tracy <br />in accordance with solid waste facility Permit Number 39 -AA -005, issued <br />by the San Joaquin Local Health District and Waste Discharge Requirement <br />Order Number 76-155, issued by the State of California Regional Water <br />Quality Control Board, Central Valley Region. <br />The types of wastes received at the site include: <br />• Residential refuse <br />• Commercial wastes <br />• Construction/demolition wastes <br />• Tires <br />• Sewage sludge/septic tank pumpings <br />• Liquids/slurries <br />• Agriculture wastes <br />The disposal of hazardous waste is prohibited. Operation of the land- <br />fill site is by the cut and fill method. <br />3 <br />
