Specifically, this
report addresses the following subjects.-
(III.)
ubjects:(III.) Supplementary Information. on Previous Geologic
Investigation:
(A) Elevations of borings performed during the geologic
investigation; Backfilling of borings at Corral Hollow;
and
(B) Permeability tests, results, and procedures;
(IV.) Review of Existing Hydrogeologic Information:
(A) Information from Proposed Community of Carnegie
Investigation -- Completion depths and geologic
information from wells at Carnegie;
(B) Geologic information from Musco Olive investigation;
(C) Anticipated Aquifer Conditions at Corral Hollow
Landfill.
PREVIOUS
III. SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION ON • • _ •
A. Existinc Boreholes
The field investigations for the previous geologic report
included drilling and sampling four exploratory borings. At the
time of drilling no free water was encountered in the boreholes.
The holes were left open at that time to verify that ground water
would not subsequently enter the boreholes, allowing them to be
used for the installation of monitoring wells. The boreholes
were recently checked, and remain dry. The existing boreholes
will be scheduled for backfilling with a cement/bentonite slurry
within the next three to four weeks. The elevations of the
borings have not been surveyed. Approximate boring elevations
from the U.S.G.S. topographic map for the area are as follows:
