VII LANDFILL OPERATION <br /> A. Site preparation needed before beginning next phase of <br /> disposal operation: <br /> The next phase of operation will be to complete filing of the <br /> last remaining pit, which is identified as Module 1 of the <br /> Closure Plan. This is the area currently being used, which <br /> therefore will not require preparation. However, soils will <br /> have to be imported and stockpiled for use in operations. The <br /> stockpile area is in the northeastern portion of the landfill as <br /> indicated on Drawing 1 of the Closure Plan. This stockpile will <br /> be replenished as needed. <br /> B. Landfilling procedures and sequence of waste cell building: <br /> General information on landfillingprocedures p r and phasing is <br /> contained in the Operations Plan and Closure Plan for the site. <br /> C. Control of waste: <br /> Information on control of waste at the landfill is contained in <br /> Sections 2.2 of the Operations Plan for the site. Control of <br /> incoming waste will also include a hazardous waste exclusion <br /> program that is in the process of being submitted to the RWQCB <br /> for approval before implementation. <br /> D. Control of construction work: <br /> Information on control of construction for the site is contained <br /> in Section 2.4 of the Operations Plan for the site. <br /> E. Control of nuisance and health hazards: <br /> Information on control of nuisance and health hazards is <br /> contained in Section 2.5 of the Operations Plan for the site. In <br /> addition to mitigation measures for the typical landfill <br /> operations nuisances discussed in Section 2.5, a hazardous waste <br /> exclusion program is currently being submitted to the RWQCB and <br /> will be implemented at the site upon approval. <br /> F.
