" Another <br /> major policy of the plan stated 11 Special use landfills may <br /> be maintained by the cities and by industry as may be <br /> appropriate to their needs". The operation of the Corral <br /> Hollow Sanitary Landfill to serve Tracy and the South County <br /> service area is consistent with these policies. In <br /> addition, one of the major items for implementation as a <br /> short term goal is the development of a new landfill to <br /> replace the Corral Hollow Sanitary Landfill. <br /> I. Description of Wastes Accepted: <br /> The landfill generally accepts municipal solid waste. The <br /> landfill currently does not accept infectious waste, sewage <br /> sludge, hazardous waste, large dead animals, and liquid waste. <br /> The site does accept tires, stumps and logs which are charged <br /> special fees. <br /> III. Site Size and Capacity: <br /> Details on the site size and capacity are contained in the <br /> Closure and Postclosure Plan for the site, dated March 1988, <br /> which is contained in the _RWD for the landfill as Appendix B. <br /> IV. Site Location and Access Map: <br /> General information regarding site location and access is shown <br /> on Figure 1 of this RDSI, which shows the general location of the <br /> landfill in relation to San Joaquin County. Access to the site <br /> is from Corral Hollow Road just west of Interstate Route 580. <br /> A detailed map showing the existing topography and landfill <br /> design plan is shown as Drawing 1 of drawings titled, "Closure <br /> Plan, Corral Hollow Sanitary Landfill". These drawing are <br /> attached to the March 1988 Closure Plan for the site which is <br /> Appendix B to the 1988 RWD included as Appendix C to this RDSI. <br /> This drawing shows on site access roads in relation to Corral <br /> Hollow Road and Interstate Highway 580. <br /> V.
