d. Waste Flow Diagran
A schematic plan showing the flow of material through the facility from unloading through
sorting and processing to removal is shown on Figure 9, Material Flow Diagram. Material VAX
is divided into three types, collected residential, self-haul and commercial/industrial with each
type basically divided into a mixed component and a source separated component.
e. Surface Drainage and Runoff Control Plan
A plan showing surface runoff and site drainage patterns and control features is shown on Figure
4 and on Sheet 3. All surface drainage from the site will be contained on-site in either a
retention pond or a lined evaporation pond. Drainage design criteria and calculations are
included in Appendix E.
L Utilities Plan
A site utilities plan showing location of proposed water and sewage facilities is shown on Figure
10 and Sheet 4. Water supply and storage will be provided from an on-site well and storage
tank. Sewage from rest rooms will be collected and directed to the on-site septic tank and leach
field. Wash down water from the truck wash areas will be collected, directed to a sand/oil
separator and stored in above ground tanks for either reuse in vehicle washing or disposal off-
site. A Soil Suitability Study has been done for the site as required by San Joaquin County
Public Health Services. Percolation tests were performed in the areas of proposed leach field.
The holes reveal that the surface soils are underlain by gravelly loam soil at a depth of
approximately 3 feet. The observed percolation rates were 14.7 and 13.8 minutes per inch for
test holes 1 and 2, respectively. Percolation test results are included in Appendix G. Also
included is a water analysis performed on an existing domestic wM located at 29990 South
MacArthur Drive. The results for the nitrate and DBCP levels were found to be acceptable.
The conclusion of the Soil Suitability Study was that the soil conditions at the site are suitable
for the installation of leachfield systems as proposed and that they Will not have an adverse
cumulative effect on the quality of the groundwater in the area. The letter of acceptance of the
Soil Suitability Study from San Joaquin County Public Health Services is also included in
Appendix G.
L/PROJECT/397/NfRF/RSI-I.TCY
Revision 1.0 22 Fokusay 5,19%
