DESIGN CALCULATIONS <br /> Design calculations for the facility are located in Appendix D - Estimated Vehicle Trips & <br /> Traffic Impact Analysis Summary, Appendix E - Drainage Analysis and Appendix F - Station <br /> Capacity Analysis. <br /> a. Station Capacity <br /> The Tracy Materials Recovery & Transfer Facility is designed for an average volume of 800 <br /> tons of waste material per day. The approximate breakdown of load types is as follows: <br /> Residential Loads 118 tpd <br /> Commercial/Industrial Loads 399 tpd <br /> Self-haul Loads 229 tpd <br /> Outside Diversion Programs to be Processed at MRF 54 Wd <br /> TOTAL 800 tpd <br /> The facility is designed such that 800 tpd on average can be received and transferred/processed. <br /> Based on the waste composition study and Waste Quantity Projections in Appendix B, the 800 <br /> tpd of delivered waste is broken down approximately as follows: <br /> Non-processable Wastes 360 tpd <br /> Processable Wastes 230 tpd <br /> Curbside Collected Recyclables 40 tpd <br /> Processable Wood & Yard Wastes 170_Ipd <br /> TOTAL 800 tpd <br /> Processable wastes are a combination of commercial/industrial loads rich in recyclables that will <br /> be sorted and loads of recyclable material only that will be processed (baled or stored). See the <br /> Station Capacity Analysis in Appendix F for the capacity calculations of the various components <br /> of the processing systems. Waste storage and transfer calculations are also included in the <br /> analysis in Appendix F. <br /> b. Traffic Loading <br /> The facility has also been designed to accommodate the total number of vehicles and the <br /> expected peak arrival rates.
