Priority attention will be given to the maintenance of the tub grinder and windrow turner so that <br /> normal operations are not impeded. Required maintenance will beperformed in the field <br /> immediately or during non-operating hours to minimize downtime. The equipment maintenance <br /> program will be an integral part of the timely processing of organic material through the facility. <br /> It will ensure that equipment is always available to keep the organic material in an aerobic <br /> condition and prevent anaerobic conditions which generate odors. <br /> V. HEALTH AND SAFETY PROGRAM <br /> A. SANITARY FACELXnM <br /> The sanitary facilities consisting of men and women restrooms are located in the <br /> Office/Maintenance Building and the NIRF/Transfer Buildings. Additionally one restroom will <br /> be provided in the Gatehouse for the scale attendant. No sanitary facilities will be provided at <br /> the Compost Facility. so.,&k0ay qa'e'� rbc kowu 'co or) C"C& 1&,P) <br /> All sanitary sewer wastes will be collected on-site and disposed of in a subsurface leach field <br /> installed on-site. The design of this system will be done per San Joaquin County Public Health <br /> Services requirements. All water used in the washdown of the Compost Facility will drain to <br /> the on-site lined evaporation pond. <br /> B. WATER SUPPLY <br /> All water required for facility operations including potable water will be obtained from an on-site <br /> groundwater supply well. Water service will be extended to the Compost Facility for use in the <br /> grinding, screening and compost operations and for use in washdown, drinking and eye wash <br /> stations (where required). <br /> This on-site well will also supply an on-site fire protection storage tank sized to satisfy local fire <br /> protection requirements.
