Corral Hollow Sanitary Landfill <br /> PostClosure Maintenance Plan <br /> Revised January, 1994 <br /> I. FINAL POSTCLOSURE MAINTENANCE PLAN <br /> The Corral Hollow Sanitary Landfill is located approximately 5 <br /> miles south of Tracy, California on Corral Hollow Road (figure 1) . <br /> It is operated by the County of San Joaquin as a Class III landfill <br /> in accordance with Solid Waste Facility Permit Number 39-AA-005 <br /> issued by the San Joaquin County Public Health Department and Waste <br /> Discharge Requirements Order Number 89-046, issued by the State of <br /> California Regional Water Quality Control Board, Central Valley <br /> Region. <br /> This report presents the Final Closure Plan for the Corral Hollow <br /> Sanitary Landfill and is intended to comply with state closure <br /> regulations Title 14, Chapter 3, Article 7.8, Chapter 5, Article <br /> 3 .4, and Chapter 5, Article 3 .5. <br /> 1.0 RESPONSIBILITY FOR POSTCLOSURE MAINTENANCE <br /> The San Joaquin County Public Works Department will be responsible <br /> for all aspects of postclosure maintenance. (209) 468-3066 <br /> 2.0 CURRENT MONITORING AND COLLECTION SYSTEMS <br /> 2 . 1 Leachate <br /> The Corral Hollow Sanitary Landfill does not have a liner or a <br /> leachate collection system. Therefore, leachate is not collected. <br /> Leachate will be controlled by maintaining proper cover to promote <br /> runoff rather than infiltration. <br /> Article 7.8, section 17781(e) (1) states "The operator shall collect <br /> leachate in accordance with Title 23, CCR, Subchapter 15, Section <br /> 2543 , and approved by the local enforcement agency and the board" . <br /> Section 2543 of Subchapter 15 states "Leachate collection and <br /> removal systems are required for Class I landfills, surface <br /> impoundments, and waste piles; for Class II landfills and surface <br /> impoundments; and for Class III landfills which have a liner or <br /> 2 <br />
