CRANDALL <br /> Project Engineer <br /> Summary of Experience <br /> Mr. Crandall has over eight years experience as an engineer focusing on the study, <br /> design, operation and regulatory enforcement of solid waste landfills. He is responsible <br /> for landfill design and permitting including projects involving the disposal of unusual <br /> wastes requiring special design and regulatory permitting. While an engineer with the <br /> Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board, Mr. Crandall worked primarily <br /> with Chapter 15 requirements, reviewed SWATS and monitored waste discharge and <br /> wrote waste discharge requirements. Prepared the closure design including project drawings, <br /> specifications and construction quality assurance plans for closure of a landfill <br /> using a PVC geomembrane. Also installed a perimeter gas monitoring system for <br /> the landfill. <br /> Landfill Closure Design, Plans and Specifications, Sierra Conservation Center <br /> Landfill, Tuolumne County, California. Prepared a closure feasibility study(clean <br /> closure vs. closure in-place). The client decided to close in-place and Meinfelder <br /> prepared a closure plan, closure drawings, technical specifications and construction <br /> quality assurance plan. This closure used a geosynthetic clay liner for the barrier <br /> layer which offer the client a significant cost savings.
