SECTION 01052 <br /> LAYOUT OF WORK AND SURVEYS <br /> PART 1 - GENERAL <br /> 1.01 SUMMARY <br /> A. This section supplements the requirements specified in the Specifications. If the <br /> requirements of this section and conditions noted above conflict, the Contractor <br /> shall adhere to the more stringent requirement as determined by the Engineer. <br /> B. Section includes requirements for survey work to be provided by the Contractor for <br /> the following: <br /> 1. Setting offset stakes, slope stakes, and grade stakes for field layout of <br /> features for performance of the Work. <br /> 2. Field measurement of construction areas for future payment calculation by <br /> Engineer. <br /> 3. Construction quality assurance record surveys. <br /> C. The Contractor shall retain the services of a California Licensed Land Surveyor for <br /> the performance of all Layout of work and surveys under this Section. <br /> D. Related Sections: <br /> 1. Specifications <br /> 2. Section 01300 - Submittals <br /> 3. Section 01720 - Project Record Documents <br /> ' 1.02 DESCRIPTION <br /> A. Reference Points: The reference points will be provided by the County and will <br /> include monuments and elevation bench marks in the vicinity of the Project. If <br /> displaced, replacement of these reference points will be at the expense of the <br /> Contractor. <br /> B.
