C. Equipment and Personnel: The survey instruments and other equipment shall be <br /> accurate, suitable for the surveys required in accordance with recognized <br /> professional standards, and in proper condition and adjustment at all times. <br /> (Surveys shall be performed under the direct supervision of a licensed surveyor). <br /> D. Field Notes and Records: The survey work shall be recorded in field notebooks. <br /> Copies of such records shall be furnished to the Engineer within 2 working days of <br /> the work being performed. Each field notebook shall be furnished to the Engineer <br /> when filled or completed. Electronic notes may be used if printouts are furnished to <br /> the Engineer and if the format of the printed information is approved by the <br /> ' Engineer. <br /> E. Use by the Engineer: The Engineer may at any time use line and grade points and <br /> tmarkers established by the Contractor. The surveys are a part of the Work and may <br /> be checked by the Engineer or representatives of the Engineer at any time. The <br /> Contractor shall be responsible for (1) any lines, grades, or measurements which do <br /> not comply with specified or proper tolerances, or which are otherwise defective, <br /> and (2) for any resultant defects in the Work. The Contractor shall be to conduct <br /> re-surveys or check surveys to correct errors indicated by review of the field <br /> notebooks or otherwise detected. <br /> 1.03 SUBMITTALS <br /> A. Survey Stakes/Marker Submittal: The Contractor shall submit to the Engineer for <br /> review the type(s) of survey stake/marker proposed by the surveyor for all survey <br /> locations within the limits of the final cover, and procedure to verify complete <br /> removal if the stakes/markers could potentially damage the final cover geosynthetic <br /> ' materials. <br /> B. The Contractor shall submit to the Engineer for review the name and certification of <br /> the California Licensed Land Surveyor to be used. <br /> 1.04 SURVEYS FOR LAYOUT, PERFORMANCE, MEASUREMENT, AND <br /> VERIFICATION OF WORK <br /> A. The Contractor shall be responsible for the performance of all surveys for layout, <br /> performance, and verification of the Work, the field notes, necessary calculations, <br /> and drawings necessary to carry out and verify such work as generally specified <br /> below. <br /> B. Top of Subgrade Grading and Verification Survey <br /> 1.
