r <br />M. Construction Quality Assurance Manager (CQA Manager): The monitoring firm <br />responsible for implementation of the CQA program. The CQA Manager also may act as the <br />Engineer when designated to do so. <br />N. Construction Quality Assurance Monitor (CQA Monitor): Site representative(s) of the CQA <br />Officer responsible for documenting field observations and tests. <br />O. Construction Quality Assurance Engineer (CQA Engineer): A civil engineer, registered in <br />the State of California as required by 27 CCR 20324(b)(2), who is responsible for <br />observing, verifying, and documenting the Extension of Closure Cap of the CHLF and <br />for preparing, signing, and sealing the Construction Completion Report. <br />P. Contract Documents: The official set of documents issued by the County, which includes <br />bidding requirements, contract forms, contract conditions, construction specifications, <br />construction drawings, addenda, and contract modifications. <br />Q. Construction Drawings: The official plans, profiles, typical cross-sections, elevations, and <br />details, as well as their amendments and supplemental drawings, which show the locations, <br />character, dimensions, and details of the work to be performed. Construction drawings are <br />also referred to as Contract Plans, Project Plans and/or Plans. <br />R. Construction Specifications: The qualitative requirements for products, materials, and <br />workmanship upon which the construction is based. Construction specifications are also <br />referred to as contract specifications, specifications, and/or special provisions. <br />S. Construction Testing: Testing that occurs during material placement. <br />T. Contractor: The person or persons, firm, partnership, corporation, or any combination, <br />private, municipal, or public, who, as an independent contractor, has entered into a contract <br />with the County. <br />U. Corrective Measures: Procedures to be used to rework, repair or replace a deficiency in the <br />quality of an item or to resolve unacceptable or indeterminate activities. <br />1 V. D15: Grain diameter (mm) corresponding to 15 percent passing (by dry weight) in a sieve <br />analysis. <br />W. D85: Grain diameter (mm) corresponding to 85 percent passing (by dry weight) in a sieve <br />analysis. <br />X. Design Engineer: The individual or firm responsible for the design and preparation of the <br />project Construction Drawings and Specifications. <br />' Y. Dewatering: The removal of any water which may accumulate within earthwork areas. <br />Z.
