The Contractor shall submit test results verifying compliance with the specifications <br />to the Engineer. <br />3.05 PLACING CONCRETE <br />A. Preparation: <br />1. Remove foreign matter accumulated in the forms and footing excavations. <br />2. Wet wooden form work sufficiently to tighten up cracks; wet other material <br />sufficiently to maintain workability of the concrete. <br />3. Do not place concrete in weather conditions which may be detrimental to the <br />quality of the final product. <br />B. Conveying and Placing: <br />1. Perform concrete placing at such a rate that concrete which is being integrated <br />with fresh concrete is still plastic. <br />2. Do not use concrete which becomes non -plastic and unworkable, or does not <br />meet required quality control limits, or has been contaminated by foreign <br />materials. <br />3. Remove rejected concrete from the job site. <br />4. Deposit and consolidate concrete slabs in a continuous operation, within limits <br />of construction joints, until the placing of a panel or section is completed. <br />5. Bring slab surfaces to the correct level and slope with a straight edge, and then <br />strike off. <br />6. Use bullfloats or darbies to smooth the surface, leaving the surface free from <br />bumps and hollows. <br />3.06 CONSOLIDATION <br />A.
