2. Supplied by a power source capable of providing constant voltage under a
combined -line load.
3. Provided with a protective lining and splash pad large enough to catch spilled
fuel under an electric generator, if used on geocomposite.
PART 3 - EXECUTION
3.01 EXAMINATION
A. Prior to installation of geocomposite, examine underlying construction for
conformance with specifications. Verify the following:
1. Underlying installations are complete, installed as designed, as -built
documentation, MQC documentation and CQA documentation has been
provided to the Enginer.
2. No debris or rocks are on the geomembrane in areas where geocomposite will
be deployed.
3.02 DEPLOYMENT
A. Deploy geocomposite as indicated in Drawings.
B. Follow manufacturer's recommendations, standards, and guidelines.
1 02773-7
C.
On slopes greater than 10 percent, deploy geocomposite using full length rolls
placed in the direction of the slope. Prevent end seams on slopes. Reposition
geocomposite by hand, if necessary, after unrolling to minimize wrinkles.
D.
Do not entrap in geocomposite excessive dust, stones, or moisture that could
damage or clog drains or filters or hamper subsequent seaming.
E.
Lay smooth with no wrinkles and free of stresses.
F.
Secure during deployment by placing sandbags as ballast. Leave ballast in place
until the geocomposite is covered.
G.
Examine geocomposite over entire completed surface to ensure that no potentially
harmful foreign objects, such as needles, are present. Remove any foreign objects.
H.
Do not drag geocomposite across rough or textured surfaces to avoid damage to the
geocomposite. Use a smooth geosynthetic slip sheet or rub sheet as necessary to
reduce friction damage during deployment.
SHAW ENV/RONMENTAL, INC.
San Joaquin County
— Extension of Cap Corral Hollow Sanitary Landfill — CH—Closure Cap Ext Proj—Technical Specs 4-19-12 Revl.DocRev. 0, 09/28/2011
Geocomposite Drainage Layer
1 02773-7
