ZO General Requirements <br /> The general requirements for CQA include requirements for meetings, responsibilities of the <br /> project team, control of project records, and documentation and correction of nonconforming <br /> work. Most of the general requirements are the responsibility of the CQA Manger. However, the <br /> Contractor, and other parties have significant responsibilities as well. <br /> 2.1 Meetings <br /> Preconstruction meetings, progress meetings, weekly meetings, and other special meetings will <br /> be held to facilitate construction, clearly define construction goals and activities, and allow close <br /> ' coordination between the Resident Engineer, the CQA Manager, the Contractor, and other <br /> members of the project team. <br /> 21.1 Preconstruction Meeting <br /> A preconstruction meeting will be held at the site before construction begins. It shall be attended <br /> by the .Resident Engineer, Contractor (including subcontractors), Design Engineer, CQA <br /> Engineer, CQA Monitor, Surveyor, other parties requested by the Resident Engineer, or their <br /> designees. More than one meeting may be held if construction proceeds in stages. The purposes <br /> of the meeting will be to: <br /> ® Identify key personnel and contact information <br /> ® Provide all parties with copies of the Contract Documents <br /> ' ® Review the Contract Documents and CQA Plan <br /> Discuss work-area security, safety procedures, and related issues <br /> ® Review the responsibilities and qualifications of each party <br /> ® Define the lines of communication and authority <br /> ® Establish reporting and documentation procedures <br /> ® Review testing equipment and procedures <br /> ® Discuss testing and work documentation protocols <br /> ' ® Discuss procedures for correcting and documenting nonconformance <br /> View the work, stockpile and laydown areas, access and haul roads, and other features <br /> ® Review the project schedule <br /> CH CQA Plan 041712 Rev2a.doc 2-1 Construction Quality Assurance Plan <br />
