® On June 6, 2012, the County submitted a revised schedule showing bidding in late 2012 with
construction starting in the spring of 2013. A letter dated July 13, 2012 apparently tentatively
accepted that revised schedule.
On August 21, 2012,the County submitted the Evaluation Monitoring Program Report—Phase 2,
which delineated the extent of groundwater impact.
On September 26, 2012,the County received a Notice of Violation for failure to delineate the
extent of groundwater impact, and requiring the following:
• Install a fourth permanent groundwater monitoring well beyond Investigate the extent of
the VOC plume to the north-northeast of the site
• Conduct a water supply well search within a 1-mile radius of the site (not previously
required)
• Install a minimum of two soil gas probes along the northern site boundary(not previously
required)
On October 17, 2012, Water Board agreed that the data from the three existing wells beyond
County property were sufficient to delineate the extent of groundwater impact.
In the session of April 11 and 12,the Regional Water Quality Control Board was scheduled to
consider a Cease and Desist Order that would require the closure of the un-closed portion of the
Corral Hollow Landfill and installation of additional landfill gas collection wells and establishing
the timeline for future corrective action, if needed.
Corral Hollow Sanitary Landfill 8 Department of Public Works/Solid Waste
I"Quarter 2013 Groundwater Monitoring County of San Joaquin—April 15,2013
