The effectiveness of the proposed corrective actions would be monitored using existing on-
site monitoring wells and the newly-installed EMP monitoring wells. Over time, decreases in
VOC concentrations and retraction of the plume geometry are expected, and future
groundwater chemistry data collected from these wells, combined with gas extraction flow
and chemistry data will be charted in semiannual monitoring reports to document the
system effectiveness. Based on the site conditions, a revised Water Quality Protection
Standard is proposed that is equivalent to one half of the State of California and/or Federal
Maximum Contaminant Level (MCL), as measured in compliance wells MW-5, MW-8, and SP-
1, but decreasing to concentrations below the laboratory practical quantitation limits at the
outlying EMP monitoring wells.
•
Engineering Feasibility Study Geo-Logic Page ■ ii
Corral Hollow Sanitary Landfill
January 25,2013 ASSOCIATES
