4 <br />1.09 CONSTRUCTION SEQUENCE <br />A. The monitoring well shall be completed in the following sequential order. <br />1. The Contractor shall drill the borehole and construct the monitoring well as <br />described in Sections 3.02 and 3.03. <br />2. The Contractor shall wait a minimum of 24 hours after well installation <br />before commencing well development as described in Section 3.04. <br />3. The Contractor shall install the surface completion features consisting of the <br />concrete pad and steel guard posts as described in Section 3.06. <br />PART 2 - PRODUCTS <br />2.01 WELL CASING <br />A. The well casing shall be constructed of 2 -inch diameter, schedule 40, threaded <br />polyvinylchloride (PVC) casing. <br />2.02 WELL SCREEN <br />A. The well screen shall be constructed of 2 -inch diameter, schedule 40, threaded <br />PVC casing with 0.02 -inch machine cut slots. A threaded cap shall be attached to <br />the bottom of the screen. <br />2.03 SAND PACK <br />A. The sand pack material shall consist of clean well rounded of number 2 x 12 sand, <br />and shall be free of debris or organic impurities. <br />2.04 BENTONITE SEAL <br />A. The bentonite seal shall consist of sodium montmorillonite clay in either the pellet <br />or chip form. <br />2.05 NEAT CEMENT SEAL <br />A.
