R <br /> B. Boring locations will be cleared for underground obstructions by the County prior <br /> to drilling. The Contractor shall hand auger each well location to a depth of five <br /> feet before drilling, as an additional precaution against hitting subsurface <br /> obstructions. <br /> 1.06 QUALITY ASSURANCE <br /> A. The Contractor shall hold a C-57 General Contractor's License valid in the State of <br /> California. The County will obtain necessary well installation permits. Water for <br /> the well installation process will be made available from the on-site water supply <br /> well. <br /> B. The County will retain the services of an on-geologist, which will prepare a <br /> geologic log based on the drill cuttings and soil samples, and oversee the <br /> construction of the well and the collection of soil gas and hydropunch samples. <br /> 1.07 MOBILIZATION/DEMOBILIZATION <br /> A. Mobilization shall include delivering to the landfill site and work areas all <br /> necessary uncontaminated equipment, tools, materials and supplies in good <br /> working order; and establish a work force sufficient to commence and sustain the <br /> scope of work. Demobilization shall include removing from the landfill site and <br /> work areas all equipment, tools, surplus materials and supplies, and debris <br /> generated by the well installation process. All mobilization/demobilization costs <br /> are contained in the line item provided on the attached bid sheets. <br /> B. Installing well casing and well pack and other down-hole items, and neat cement <br /> seal in the temporary borings, shall be in the presence of a San Joaquin County <br /> Environmental Health Department (EHD) inspector. The Contractor shall give <br /> the EHD two working days' notice of the intent to perform such work. The <br /> Contractor shall record the name and title of the EHD inspector. Work done <br /> without EHD inspection is subject to rejection. If rejected, the Contractor shall <br /> remove the rejected work by over-drilling or other method as directed by the EHD <br /> at the Contractor's expense. <br /> 1.08 SUBMITTALS <br /> A. The Contractor shall submit on a daily basis, reports containing the work completed, <br /> the equipment on-site, and the personnel on-site. <br /> B. The Contractor shall submit Driller's Log for each completed well. <br /> C. The Contractor shall submit a Well Development Record. <br /> Corral Hollow EMP WP.DOC Page 2 of 8 February 28,2007 <br />
