2.03 PROTECTIVE ENCLOSURE <br />Protective enclosure shall be constructed as shown in the Drawings. <br />2 Contractor shall cut materials straight and square. <br />PART 3 - EXECUTION <br />3.01 EXISTING SITE CONDITIONS <br />A. Examine the areas and conditions under which work of this Section will be <br />performed. Correct conditions detrimental to timely and proper completion <br />of the Work. Do not proceed until unsatisfactory conditions are corrected. <br />3.02 PERMITS AND INSPECTION <br />A Permits to drill soil gas monitoring wells will be obtained by the Solid Waste <br />Division. The contractor shall schedule inspection(s) of the well <br />construction with EHD Unit 6 supervisor or lead senior inspector at least 48 <br />hours before starting any construction. For the purpose of this inspection, <br />"construction" means placement of any material in the well bore after <br />drilling. Call 209-468-3422 to schedule inspection. Note the name of the <br />person contacted. After scheduling inspection, the contractor shall provide <br />to the Engineer, the name of the person in EHD Unit 6 contacted. <br />3.03 DRILLING <br />A. Drilling shall be by a licensed drilling contractor, under the coordination and <br />supervision of the Engineer. <br />B. Drilling equipment shall be clean of previous environmental contamination. <br />Equipment will be inspected by the Engineer for fluid leaks which could <br />potentially mix with an decontaminate site materials. Deficient equipment <br />shall be rejected, to be replaced by acceptable equipment at no additional <br />cost to the County. <br />C. The boring locations of each well will be staked by the County as shown on <br />the construction drawings. The proposed locations may be adjusted due to <br />site conditions by the Engineer. <br />D.
