A
The concluding comments of the various staff personnel present
indicated that we require additional information from you regarding
the concrete and asphalt crushing project proposed. Here is a list of
the additional information required. Once this information is
obtained, we propose getting together with you to go over each facet
of the project.
1. Site Specific - Provide the City with the location you
propose to lease at French Camp Landfill Site. Please note
how large a location you require.
2. Noise & Dust Generation - Please provide the City with
information on dust and noise generated by your operation
and your plans to mitigate these concerns. Here, you may
wish to contact the County's Air Pollution Control District
at 468-3473.
3. Hours of Operation - Please indicate the hours you intend to
operate your facility and days of the week.
4. Volume - Please provide us with your best estimate as to
tonnage of "Raw" materials to be delivered to the site for
processing.
5. Truck Volume - Based upon the estimated tonnage above, how
many trucks do you anticipate coming and going from the
site.
6. General - Should an Environmental Impact Report (E.I.R.) be
required from either the County's Air Pollution Control
District (APCD), the Regional Water Quality Control Board,
the County's Health Department, or the State's Integrated
Waste Management & Recycling Board; said E.I.R. must be
funded by you, the user.
In conclusion, once the above information is obtained we will set a
meeting to discuss all of these factors. It was noted during our
discussions that wherever you choose to locate your facility in San
Joaquin County, all of the reviews and permits noted above will be
required. Secondly, since the City of Stockton is presently permitted
by the County and State, less time will be required than by selecting
a site not now used for solid waste collection or transfer.
Thank you again, Mr. Alegre, for your interest. It is our sincere
hope that we can establish a long and mutually beneficial working
relationship with you.
Sincerely,
DAVE SCHMIDT
ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT COORDINATOR
DS:bg
