Camp Landfill to fulfill the
National Pollution Discharge Elimination Syst requirements
The proposed location for the sedimentation pond is in an area which has no buried waste. A
methane gas investigation revealed no readings above background. There are no plans for future
use of the location for burial of refuse.
The capacity of the sedimentation pond was engineered using the quantity of precipitation in a
ten year event (1 inch per hour for 2 hours) for an area of 65 acres with a coefficient of runoff
of 25 %. The proposed sedimentation pond size is 2.5 million gallons.
PHS-EHD has determined that the construction of this sedimentation pond is not in violation of
Title 14 Division 7 Section 17708 of the California Code of Regulations.
Please refer all questions to Steve Sasson, R.E.H.S. of my staff at (209) 468-3438.
James Miller, Supervisor
Environmental Health Division
FK/SS:lc
Brad Williams, ClWNZ-
Robert
A Division of San Joaquin County Health Care Services 0
