Miller <br />Accompanied By: John Giambastiani, Site Contract Operator <br />Board staff person Jack Miller conducted the second inspection of <br />the subject facility on March 19, 1987. Mr. Miller met with Mr. <br />John Giambastiani, Site Contract Operator at the site. The weather <br />was warm and clear with a slight breeeze coming from the northwest. <br />Violations of State Minimum Standards are documented below. <br />Indeterminate findings are also outlined.. The site was found in <br />compliance with all other standards. In addition, areas of <br />concern are noted as well as corrective measures implemented <br />since the previous inspection. The inspection report and photo <br />documentation are available from the Board upon written request. <br />Wor"Vocel <br />The following violations of California Administrative Code (CAC) <br />Sections were documented during the inspection: <br />17682 - Cover <br />The working area observed on the day of the inspection was located <br />at the edge of a lift which was approximately 10 - 15 feet thick. <br />Incoming waste was dumped near the leading edge of the lift and <br />pushed over with a bulldozer as contruction of the lift progressed <br />(Slides 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13). Cover material was placed on the <br />top part of the lift but the leading edge was left uncovered. <br />Another pile of brush was also left uncovered approximately 100 <br />yards east of the working area (Slides 14, 15).
