The French Camp Landfill is located at the intersection of Downing Avenue and <br /> Manthey Road, Stockton, CA in Section 22, T1 N, R6E, MD & B. The City of <br /> Stockton is the owner and the legal operator of the facility. The contract <br /> operator is Gambi Enterprises, Inc. <br /> B. The French Camp Landfill is located on 72.0 acres and is a class III Landfill. <br /> The map of the facility is in Appendix A. <br /> C. The facility has a scale and scalehouse. <br /> D. Type of waste received: <br /> a. Leaves and garden refuse <br /> b. Construction/Demolition wastes <br /> C. Clean fill dirt and Street Sweepings <br /> d. Asphalt and concrete <br /> E. The landfill has a peak daily load of 330 tons. <br /> F. Used oil and used batteries are not accepted at this landfill. <br /> G. The facility has implemented a hazardous waste screening program in response <br /> to state laws which prohibit the handling of hazardous waste at the landfill. <br /> This program is designed to control the disposal of prohibited wastes at this <br /> landfill and to provide for proper removal and disposal of such wastes if <br /> detected. If hazardous or other unacceptable wastes are detected, the <br /> operator's site personnel will have the hauler remove the wastes. If the hauler <br /> has left the site, the operator• will immediately cordon off the area. The <br /> operator will then immediately notify the Deputy Director of Public Works or the <br /> Solid Waste Manager who will be responsible for assessment, clean-up, <br /> transport, and disposal of the prohibited wastes.
