The corrective action cost estimate is based on a worse case release scenerio requiring a <br /> groundwater pump treat system with activated granulated charcoal treatment. The report estimates a <br /> capital cost of approximately$147,125 and an operational cost of$12,105 per year. Staff concurs that <br /> these estimated amounts are adequate for initiating the anticipated corrective action. Forward Inc. <br /> should plan on operating any pump and treat system for at least 5 years and therefore revise the operation <br /> cost to $60,525 or propose some other formula for estimating the cost of completing corrective action. <br /> Regional Board staff concurs with the financial assurances estimate of$207,650 for corrective action to <br /> address a known or reasonably foreseeable release. Title 27, Section 22221 requires that Forward Inc. <br /> must demonstrate financial responsibility to the CIWMB for initiating and completing corrective actions <br /> in at least the amount of the current corrective action cost estimate reviewed and approved by the <br /> RWQCB. <br /> If you have any questions,please call me at (916) 255-3814. <br /> ROSS D.
