Well MW-1A casing has been damaged and the well cannot be <br /> sampled. This well is screened in waste and therefore is not an appropriate groundwater <br /> monitoring well. Because of this there is no need to replace this well. The Workplan proposes <br /> to abandon Well MW-1A by overdrilling the original borehole and sealing the boring with <br /> bentonite chips. <br /> Staff concurs with the proposal to abandon Well MW-1A. Forward Landfill must comply with <br /> all San Joaquin Department of Environmental Health well abandonment standards.
