Purging: Is there a description X
of the purging method,purge
pump and its placement, and
field parameters?
Additional Comments and Recommendations:
No VOCs were detected in any of the wells.
A statistically significant increasing trend for Chloride in MW-2 is noted, however the concentration is
below that noted as the concentration limit in WDR Order No. 96-139. Chloride concentration in MW-2
during the 3Q monitoring was 16.9 mg/l. The upgradient well, MW-1, was 9.22 mg/1 and the downgradient
well, MW-3 is 12.3 mg/l. Monitoring well, MW-4 is located along the western boundary of the secondary
landfill unit and downgradient of the wastewater ponds at the migrant laborer camp. The chloride
concentration in MW-4 was 113 mg/1 (monitoring well MW-4 is not a compliance point for chloride, TDS,
or EC). Wells MW-1, -3, and—4 did not exhibit an increasing statistical trend for chloride.
Appendix G indicates that the low areas on the top deck were still being repaired and would be"finished
soon". Michael Kalish, San Joaquin County, indicates that the repairs were completed in early November.
We have an inspection scheduled for 18 January 2001.
Direct consultant to record well recovery times after collecting sample.
RWQCB Staff Signature:
Date:
