CONCLUSIONS <br /> During the Second Quarter Monitoring Event,there were no detections of migration above the 5% <br /> limit. This monitoring event represents the second consecutive event in which no detections <br /> above the 5% limit were discovered. Past quarters have shown gas levels above 5%in all the <br /> wells along the labor camp (GW-1 to GW-3), and in GW-12. There were detections of migration <br /> below 5% found in wells GW-3, GW-4, GW-11, and GW-12. The County has retained the <br /> services of an engineering consulting firm to evaluate the current conditions at the Harney Lane <br /> Sanitary Landfill. Modifications and repairs are currently being made to improve the integrity of <br /> the gas collection and control system and the County pians to continue to make the necessary <br /> adjustments to the system so that a high level of efficiency is maintained and gas migration is <br /> minimized. <br /> The next monitoring event will take place in July 2001. <br /> N:\Najee\HI\Gas\2nd2OOlgas.wpd <br /> 5 <br />
