Box 1810 <br /> Stockton, CA 95201 <br /> REVIEW OF THE FIRST QUARTER 2001 GROUND WATER AND SURFACE WATER MONITORING <br /> REPORTFOR THE HARNEYLANESANITARYLDFILL,SANJOA QUIN COUNTY(Case No.2598) <br /> Regional Board staff has reviewed the Harney Lane Sanitary Landfill, First Quarter 2001, Groundwater and <br /> Surface Water Monitoring Report, dated 15 April 2001. <br /> Monitoring for the First Quarter 2001 is in compliance with the Waste Discharge Requirements(WDRs)Order No. <br /> - - 96-139. Minor ponding was observed by the County and will be repaired prior to the next wet season. Please <br /> inform the Board in writing when repairs have been completed. <br /> In response to the Board's request,the County performed further analysis of nitrate in MW-4 and determined that <br /> there is no increasing trend and that the previously recorded high nitrate concentration was likely a false positive. <br /> As noted in our Third and Fourth Quarter review letters,the increasing trend of chloride in monitoring well MW-2 <br /> warrants observation.
