KLEINFELDER <br /> - carry out various standard field tests, <br /> • report nonconformance to the Chief QC Technician, and construction personnel <br /> when correction can be made during the normal course of the work, <br /> • report nonconformance to the Engineer wh ,n correction cannot readily be achieved <br /> to the satisfaction of the QC Technician so that the Engineer can see that <br /> compliance with the required standards is effected, <br /> • report any'activities which are adverse to the overall quality of the project and any <br /> nonconformances which are recurring even though resolution is readily achievable, <br /> • document observations and test results, and <br /> • document nonconformances and transmit documentation to the Chief QC <br /> Technician. <br /> 3.2.8 Construction Forces <br /> The construction forces used for the project will be SJDPW experienced heavy equipment <br /> operators who are familiar withplacement and compaction of landfill cover. a operators <br /> P <br /> chosen for the project are Mr. George Weaver, Mr. Don Cox, and Mr. Clement Smith. <br /> Supervision of the construction crew will be by Mr. Jaime Perez and/or Mr. Marcus <br /> t Davenport,under direct supervision of the Project Engineer. <br /> The SJDPW may elect to hire an outside earthwork contractor to perform construction of <br /> portions of the final cover. If selected, the outside contractor will have experience of at <br /> least three years, which includes successful previous construction of at least two landfill or <br /> surface impoundment liners or caps to meet requirements of Chapter 15 involving mixing <br /> of imported clay or bentonite. <br /> ice: <br /> 3.3 PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS <br /> 3.3.1 General Professional Qualifications <br /> The Project Engineer and Engineer of Record will be a Civil Engineer registered in the <br /> State of California.
