KLEINFELDER <br /> 3.2.6 Field Engineer <br /> The Field Engineer is responsible for: <br /> • day to day work of the QC Technicians, <br /> • generating project documents, <br /> • transmitting documents to the Engineer for further distribution, and <br /> • providing liaison with the construction forces and the Survey Team. <br /> The Field Engineer for the CQA Monitor, Kleinfelder, will be Mr. Patrick Dell P.E. The <br /> Field Engineers for the SJDPW will be Wes Johnson and Michael Selling. <br /> L3.2.7 Quality Control Technicians <br /> Day-to-day observation, sampling and testing of borrow soils and compacted in-place soil <br /> will be approved by the QC Technician(s). Their role is critical to the success of <br /> construction and to the creation of the required support documents. Their responsibilities <br /> include: <br /> observation of starting conditions, <br /> observation of borrow and import soil, and obtaining samples of such materials for <br /> verification testing, <br /> • observation and testing of stockpile materials, <br /> • observation of prepared subgrade ready for placement of the_ foundation layer, <br /> • observation of compactive effort, <br /> f - collection of samples for laboratory testing, <br /> • transportation of samples to the laboratory under controlled conditions of packaging <br /> and transportation, <br /> • carry out double ring infiltrometer tests under supervision, <br /> CR9-42 Page 12 of 28 <br /> Copyright 1991 Kleinfelder, Inc. <br />
