The average test pad loose thickness was about 17 inches. <br /> A CAT 825C sheepsfoot compactor was utilized to compact barrier layer soils. Approximately <br /> 14 to 16 passes were required on the barrier layer to achieve compaction requirements. The <br /> County and Teichert measured barrier layer thickness by excavating barrier soils in a 100-foot <br /> grid pattern.
