f
problem. Due to the conditions that loads will be accepted on an
appointment basis and that daily operational volumes may vary
considerably, a dedicated water truck is not proposed for the
site. Cove Contractors will rent or use a Cove Contractor's
water truck obtained off-site only as a contingency for periods
of high wind, should dust become a problem. A water truck will
not be needed for operations and will not remain on the site full
time.
Comment on Section A-10
RDSI does not clearly identify the sanitary sewer utilities or
the potable drinking water supply for the site.
Response to Comment on Section A-10
The on-site building contains a toilet and water supply which is
served by plumbing from the city water system. Cove Contractors
will maintain the public toilet and a faucet in this building for
the site operator. The toilet is served by an on-site septic
system.
Section A-11
a. Comment:
RDSI fails to indicate the presence of a sign at the
entryway which indicates that no hazardous wastes are
'accepted.
Response:
Cove Contractors will install a sign at the site entrance
indicating that hazardous waste is not accepted.
Additionally the sign will state that the site is available
only for disposal under appointment by Cove Contractors and
that unauthorized trespass or use is prohibited.
b. Comment:
If a load is accepted and subsequently found to contain a
hazardous material a storage or isolation location should be
mentioned in the RDSI.
Response:
The ASW is screened at the waste source through the process
described in Section B-2 of the RDSI. This process screens
out hazardous waste.
11
