At the request of Mr. Jack Hecht
of Cove Contractors, we are responding to the May 21, 1992 letter from the Environmental
Health Division (EHD) requesting a meeting to discuss the Cove Contractors Auto Shredder
Residue Landfill. Cove Contractors looks forward to attending such a meeting. Prior to that
meeting, we request that EHD describe the "several environmental problems" referred to in the
letter of May 21, 1992. It is our understanding that any purported "problems" have been
addressed in previous correspondence submitted on behalf of Cove, and your agency has made
no substantive response disputing Cove's positions. We also request that you provide an
agenda for the meeting. Providing us with that information will facilitate the overall meeting
by allowing us to prepare to respond to your agency's concerns. We will contact you in a few
days to find out when we can expect to receive the information and to set a date for the
meeting. Please call if you have any questions or need additional information.
Sincerely,
KLEINFELDER, INC.
TimothY A.
